Woman Claiming to Have Bomb Attempts to Rob Bank

Police are looking for the suspect in the attempted bank robbery, which happened around noon at the Catasauqua Road branch of Bank of America,

A woman claiming to have a bomb strapped to her leg walked into the on Catasauqua Road and demanded money, according to a report on the Breaking News Network.

The woman walked out of the bank without any cash, according to a report on The Express-Times, which quoted police radio reports.

Police said the suspect has dark skin, brown eyes and wore her black hair in a bun. She is young in appearance and has a medium build. She is about 5-feet, 4-inches to 5-feet, 6-inches tall.

She was wearing a knee-length tan/brown wool style winter coat with a grayish hood hanging from the back neck area. The woman also was wearing a blue and white patterned scarf.

The woman crossed Catasauqua Road at Pennsylvania Avenue after leaving the bank, according to the news report.
