Township Woman Jailed After Christmas Day Stabbing
The incident was apparently the result of a domestic dispute.
A Bethlehem Township woman allegedly stabbed a man in the leg with a 4-inch serrated steak knife early Christmas Day, although she denied knowing she grabbed the knife or what happened to it, according to court records.
Nydia Figueroa, 37, of the 3900 block of Washington St., told police she was in her son’s bedroom with the man’s mother when the man walked in and she and the man exchanged words. She said he grabbed her hair and pulled her down. Family members tried to pull the man off her, and she grabbed whatever was closest and began hitting him, she told police.
Although the records say Figueroa stabbed the man in the left outer thigh, she denied to police that she knew she grabbed a knife or what happened to it.
