Township Woman Admits She Wore Clown Suit to Rob Bank
Williams pleads guilty to felony robbery in Northampton County Court.
A 44-year-old married mother of two children pleaded guilty today to robbing a Bethlehem Township bank dressed in a clown suit last August, according to this report on The Morning Call website.
Carolyn A. Williams had claimed she was forced to rob the KNBT Bank at 3933 Freemansburg Ave. by kidnappers who threatened her children. Her defense attorneys are considering offering a mental health defense at her sentencing hearing in August, according to the newspaper report.
