Teenage Boy Hurt in Hit-and-Run on Maple Street

Driver of white mini-van with cracked windshield from hitting teenage pedestrian fled the scene, Bethlehem police say.

A pedestrian was struck by a white mini-van in the 700 block of Maple Street just east of center city Bethlehem at a little after 10 Wednesday night, police said.

The driver fled the scene of the crash in the mini-van, which reportedly had a crack in the windshield as a result of the collision, police said.

Police provided no information on the pedestrian. However, The Morning Call reported that police radio reports indicated that the victim was a 14-year-old boy who was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital.

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the mini-van and the driver. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7187.
