Teen Found Unconscious in Perkins Booth Charged

19-year-old city man was found unconscious in South Bethlehem Perkins and subsequently charged with marijuana and cocaine possession.

 

A Bethlehem teenager who was found unconscious in a booth at the Restaurant in SouthSide is facing numerous drug charges, according to court records.

Numerous efforts to wake Zachary Aaron Bohning, 19, of 1913 Huntington St., were unsuccessful after he was found in a booth about 7:15 a.m. Aug. 28, police said. Bohning did not regain consciousness until paramedics administered Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effects of an opiate overdose, according to the arrest affidavit.

Meanwhile, police allegedly found that Bohning was carrying five individual baggies containing marijuana, another containing cocaine and $620 cash, the court papers said.

Police charged Bohning with one felony count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and two misdemeanor counts of drug possession – one each for the marijuana and the cocaine.

He was arraigned Friday before and committed to Northampton County Prison after failing to post $100,000 bail.
