Bethlehem police say a city man kicked another man while wearing steel-toed boots and while the other man's daughter was present, and then threatened him with a knife during an argument over money early Tuesday.

Jesus Molina, 32, of 1836 Livingston St., is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and terroristic threats.

According to police, officers were called to Molina's address around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after a man reported being threatened with a knife.

Police say Molina argued with the man, claiming he was owed money. He allegedly punched and kicked the man while wearing steel-toed work boots.

Molina then told the man "This ain't over. I've got something for you" and returned with a 6-inch kitchen knife, police said.

The man's daughter was present, which apparently saved him, police said.
Molina allegedly told him "You are lucky your daughter is in front of you."

Police said officers used a metal detector to determine that Molina's boots did have steel toes.

He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge John Capobianco of Nazareth and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
