Shots Fired Near William Penn School

Police found property damage and shell casings near Main Street elementary school.

Bethlehem police are investigating a report of gunshots fired in the vicinity of William Penn Elementary School on Main Street, according to published reports.

No one was injured.

Police found shell casings and property damage not far from the school at 1002 Main St., according to The Morning Call.

One car parked on W. Fairview Street had its back windshield shattered in the incident which occurred at a little after 2 a.m. Saturday, according to The Express Times.

Parents should not be concerned about dropping their children off for the first day of school, police told the newspaper.
