Reward Offered for Information on Rt. 22 Hit-and-Run Death

Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of driver who killed Rt. 22 pedestrian.

Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the hit-and-run motorist who struck and killed a man who was trying to fill his car with gas as it was parked on the shoulder of eastbound Route 22 early Saturday.

Paul J. Agens, 60, of Hamburg, N.J. was struck by an unknown vehicle at about 2 a.m. in Bethlehem Township near the Route 33 interchange with Route 22, according to state troopers who are investigating.

Agens died at the scene. The motorist who struck him fled the scene in the car or vehicle.

Callers do not have to give their name, and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
