Report: City Man Sentenced to 20-40 Years for Murder
Clyde Lont, 26, pleaded guilty last month to killing David Rivera in 2007 in Bethlehem.
A Bethlehem man, who pleaded guilty last month to a 2007 murder in the city, was given a sentence of 20 to 40 years in a state prison by a Lehigh County judge on Monday, according to this story in The Morning Call.
Clyde Lont, 26, admitted that he killed 25-year-old David Rivera, pleading guilty to third-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. Last monty, Lehigh County Judge James T. Anthony rejected a plea agreement, which would have Lont serve a minimum sentence of 16 years.
Lont and his co-conspirators ambushed Rivera at his girlfriend's home at 1933 Hillcrest Road on April 20, 2007, the end result of what authorities say was a drug dispute between the two men.
