Police: Prowler had Porn, Pot and Panties

An East Hills woman who stepped out of her home for 25 minutes Monday night returned to find a male next-door neighbor sitting on her couch, watching pornography on her television and wearing nothing but a pair of her panties, according to court records.

As a result, Michael J. Zullo, 52, of 1741 Hastings Road is facing multiple charges, including felony criminal trespass, prowling at night and open lewdness.

The victim, Susan Haberacker, told police she returned to her Hastings Road home at 9:15 p.m. when she found her neighbor, whom she only knew as “Mike,” in her living room.

According to court records, Zullo asked Haberacker if she “wants to party,” indicating that he had brought cocaine and marijuana. Haberacker told police that she saw the drugs in her kitchen, which were not there when she left.

The arrest affidavit indicates that the suspected cocaine was field-tested positive for the controlled substance. Zullo was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Before he left, Zullo left behind Haberacker’s panties, taking them off and dropping them on the floor, the arrest warrant says. The panties were taken as evidence and law enforcement issued Zullo a Northampton County Prison jumpsuit to wear instead.

He was arraigned before night duty , who set bail at $125,000.
