Police: Man Punched and Kicked his Girlfriend

Wolford, 46, also charged with threatening to kill his 62-year-old domestic partner

A 46-year-old Bethlehem man was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and two counts of harassment after police responded to a domestic dispute involving he and his 62-year-old live-in girlfriend, city police said.

Police first responded to the Patriot Ventures Apartments at 14 W. Third St. a little after 11 p.m. on the domestic dispute during which Johnny Wolford allegedly punched Shirley Lewis in her right bicep, causing an egg-shaped bruise and swelling.

When police returned to the apartment at nearly 3 a.m. this morning to deliver paperwork related to the earlier incident, they heard arguing inside. Police said they soon learned that Wolford had kicked Lewis in the leg and threatened to kill her.
