Teen charged with marijuana possession

A South Bethlehem man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after he was involved in a two car collision Monday night that left the other motorist injured, city police said.

Winfred Rodriguez of 337 Wyandotte St. was also charged with driving under suspension, failing to stay and render aid and other traffic-related offenses. He returned to the scene later, explaining to police that he fled because he was frightened, police said.

The accident occurred at E. Sixth Street and Brinker Avenue shortly after 6 p.m., police said.

DUI

A Bethlehem man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related offenses after he was observed driving on the sidewalk on the 700 block of North New Street early Tuesday morning, city police said.

Coady Sell, 29, of 84 W. Market St., also struck at least two parked cars and some street signs with his vehicle, at a little after 3 a.m., police said. He left the scene, but was quickly caught at W. Market Street near Main Street, police said.

Drug Possession

An 18-year-old city man was charged with drug possession after police observed him smoking marijuana on the sidewalk on the 200 block of E. Ettwein Street Tuesday night, Bethlehem police said.

Charged was Brian Matos of 1269 Delaware Ave.
