Police Ask for Help in Identifying Armed Robbers

Suspects responsible for West Side 7-Eleven robberies and have struck other convenience stores and private citizens on the street, police say.

Bethlehem police are seeking the public’s help in identifying armed robbery suspects who struck at three Bethlehem 7-Eleven stores and various other locations in the past four days.

The robbers were armed with handguns and have victimized both convenience stores and “citizens on the street,” in the city and in Palmer Township, according to a department blog post, which it labeled as “urgent.”

The robbers being sought are responsible for the robberies at the 7-Eleven’s at and on Sunday. They also struck at the 7-Eleven at early Saturday morning and at the Rudy’s at 25th Street in Palmer Township just before midnight Saturday, according to an update of the Bethlehem Police blog.

In each case, the robbers took cash along with either Marlboro or Newport cigarettes, police said.

Each of the robberies took place between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. In some of the robberies, two male suspects entered the business, while in others, only one did.

The suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect #1: “A medium skinned male, dark hair pulled back in a bun, 1/4″ rings through each earlobe, wearing sunglasses, dressed in all black clothing, carries a dark-colored large frame semi-automatic handgun with some type of light or similar device attached to the frame.”
  • Suspect #2: “A medium skinned male, wearing a blue patterned bandana over his face, dark-colored baseball hat with a 'wings' emblem on the front. He wears dark clothes and carries a small frame semi-automatic dark colored handgun.”

The robberies described in the blog might be related to in which a tip from city paramedics led to the arrest of five suspects. As it turned out, the suspects who were arrested were not who the police were looking for and have since been released.

The is working with the Palmer Township Police Department in a joint investigation.

Police have publicly released stills from surveillance video taken at these robberies.

Anyone who can identify either of the males in the photographs is asked to contact Bethlehem Police Det. Moses Miller at 610.997.7674 or Det. Jason Fulmer at 610.997.7682.

Any information can also be given to the Bethlehem Police Communications Center at 610.865.7187.  In Palmer Township, please contact Sergeant Timothy Ruoff of the Palmer Township Police Department at 610.253.3356 ext 211.

Boys, it's just a matter of time until they catch you. I hope you snatched a bottle of Vaseline in your robberies.

Just check the pembroke housing projects. I'm pretty sure 90% of the criminals in bethlehem live there.

To assume that because of where someone lives ,reflects that they are criminals ,is very wrong . these guys could be your neighbor. One had a large pistol with a light ,this type of weapon is more commonly used for home protection.May have been stolen or taken from where he lives.
