Police Arrest Gas Station Robbery Suspect

Andrew Billheimer of Beaufort Street is accused of brandishing a gun and robbing a gas station on Linden Street Sunday, police say.

 

Police Monday arrested a Bethlehem man in connection to Sunday’s , authorities said.

Andrew Billheimer, 24, of 3283 Beaufort Drive, is being charged with the armed robbery, Bethlehem police say in their blog. Billheimer was picked up by Allentown police in the parking lot of the Redner’s Market parking lot on Airport Road at about 3:30 p.m.

According to the blog post, police started to receive tips early Monday that Billheimer was the person who held up the at 2350 Linden St. Sunday afternoon.

Bethlehem and Allentown police then started working together to locate Billheimer in the green Volvo sedan that surveillance cameras took a picture of while the suspect brandished a gun inside the store.

The 1991 sedan has been impounded by police.

, in the meantime, had obtained an arrest warrant for Billheimer, charging him with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering another person.
