No Danger From Man Taking Photos at Clearview School: Officials

Mystery photographer was identified, contacted and cleared by Bethlehem police, school district officials say.

A man spotted taking pictures outside of Clearview Elementary School on Tuesday posed no danger or threat to children, school district officials said.

On Wednesday, the man was identified, contacted and questioned by Bethlehem police, who have “cleared” the situation, according to an update on the district Website.

The man also talked to school district officials and was very embarrassed by the kerfuffle, said district Superintendent Joseph Roy. The photographer is not being identified by officials.

Adults who observed the photographer and called police “did the right thing,” Roy said on Wednesday. The district continues to encourage parents and other adults to remain alert and report any suspicious activities near schools, he said.

Tuesday was the second consecutive day that the district issued an alert about such suspicious activity.
