Man Shot Dead at Easton Bar Early Saturday

Easton police are looking for two 'persons of interest' following a deadly shooting that may involve members of the Bloods gang

A man was shot dead after a bar fight early Saturday and Easton police say they're not getting much cooperation from the patrons who were there.

They're looking for two "persons of interest" who left the bar after the shooting.

Police went to Eddie G's Bar at 1 Lehn's Court at about 12:15 a.m. responding to a report of shots fired. They found a man shot; he later died at a hospital.

An argument and fight among "numerous individuals" in the bar preceded the shooting, police say. Police added that they have information indicating the argument involved Bloods gang members suspected to be from the Newark, N.J. area.

Police are still processing evidence from the scene, according to a press release issued Saturday morning.

Police are searching for two "persons of interest:"

  • A 6-foot-1 black man with a heavy build and long dreadlocks. He was wearing dark clothing and was seen leaving from the front of the bar.
  • A black man of average height and weight with a full beard or goatee. He was wearing an orange sweatshirt/jacket with white writing and reportedly fled out of the back door onto Pine Street.

Police are also trying to identify "numerous individuals" who fled the bar after the shooting before officers arrived.

Any information pertaining to the homicide can be directed to Det. Matt Rush at 610-250-6639 or the Easton Police Investigation Tip Line at 610-250-6635
