According to police, Cruz cashed the checks—totalling $13,574—at a check cashing service in Mount Pocono.

According to police, Cruz admitted to the theft when confronted by investigators and her boss.

She was arraigned before on duty District Judge Richard Yetter in Wilson, and was free on $15,000 unsecured bail.
