Man, Woman Charged in Burglary, Assault

Pair allegedly entered home, demanded money, then attacked two men inside,

A Bethlehem man and woman have been charged in a burglary and assault that took place at a SouthSide home early Saturday morning.

Geraldo Vazquez, 25, and Tiana Sanderson, 30, are both accused of entering into the home at 319 State Street without permission at a little before 3 a.m., police said. Once inside, Vazquez allegedly punched a resident, Pablo Hidalgo, 55, and another man Howard Crockett, 49, of E. Goepp Street, police said.

According to this Morning Call story, Vazquez demanded money from the men before he attacked and threatened them. Sanderson is also accused of kicking Crockett after he had been knocked to the ground.

Both Vazquez of 629 Hayes St. and Sanderson of 554 N. New St. have been charged with burglary, trespassing, simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats. They are in prison in lieu of $75,000 bail each.
