Man Shot at E. Fourth and Hayes Streets

Shooting victim may have been a robber who shot himself.

 

A man was shot – perhaps by himself – at E. Fourth and Hayes streets in South Bethlehem this morning, according to a Breaking News Network alert.

The shooting may have come during a robbery and after Bethlehem police responded to the scene. No officers were injured, according to The Express Times.

The man was seen running in the street carrying a high-powered rifle, the newspaper reported.

The condition of the shot person is not immediately clear. The newspaper also reported that Hayes Street was closed between E. Third and E. Fifth streets and E. Fourth Street is closed Atlantic and State streets.
