Attempted Murder Charges Filed in Double Stabbing

An Allentown man has been charged in the stabbing of two people in Bethlehem, police say.

Bethlehem Police on Tuesday arrested Tony-Ray Arvelo of 618 Chew Street, Apt. 3, Allentown and charged him with a double stabbing that happened Feb. 9.

Arvelo was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of instruments of a crime. He was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $300,000 bail.

Bethlehem Police said a man and woman were stabbed at an apartment at 502 Ontario St. just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Initial reports indicate the stabbings occurred after a fight at a party being held at the apartment.

Police have not released the names of the victims. They were stabbed multiple times but their injuries were not life threatening, police said.
