Man Allegedly Threatened Women with Knife

The 19-year-old from Fountain Hill threatened his mother and grandmother with a large knife, according to Bethlehem police.

A Fountain Hill man threatened his mother and grandmother with a "Rambo knife" Saturday in Bethlehem, city police said.

Jose Angel Rivera, 19, of 1315 Broadway, second floor, is charged the reckless endangerment, harassment, and terroristic threats.

According to police, Rivera's mother told officers her son threatened her and his grandmother with a knife. He allegedly pushed his grandmother, and threatened to push her down the stairs. Police say Rivera's mother described the knife her son used as a "Rambo knife."

Rivera was arraigned before on duty District Judge Gay Elwell in Easton, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
