Lehigh Student Robbed on Boyer Street

The following information was contained in a Lehigh University safety bulletin.

 

A 22-year-old Lehigh University student was robbed by two men at Boyer Street and Summit streets in Bethlehem early Sunday, according to Bethlehem police and a university safety bulletin.

The student was not harmed in the robbery, which occurred at 12:20 a.m.

Bethlehem police said two black men wearing dark hoodies and bandanas covering their face had implied that they had a weapon and took the student's bookbag, cell phone, iPod, and cash. They fled north on Boyer Street.

The safety bulletin reminds students and others to be vigilant and to take basic precautions, such as walking in well-lit areas and not walking alone at night.
