A 19-year-old Lehigh University junior was found dead in her off-campus apartment Thursday night, according to multiple published reports.
Hanlon MacDonald, who was from Albany, N.Y., was in her apartment in the 500 block of Fillmore Street when she was found, according to The Express Times.
The cause of her death is unknown though there is no suspected foul play, according to a memo from John W. Smeaton, the university’s vice president of student affairs, that was published on Lehigh’s Website.
The cause of MacDonald’s death will not be known until an autopsy and a toxicology report from the Northampton County Coroner is completed, The Morning Call reported.
MacDonald was a bio-engineering major and a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, according to Smeaton’s memo.
The university’s Counseling Center staff is available around the clock to students who need support, Smeaton wrote. The counselors can be reached by calling Campus Police at 610-758-4200.
