Police seek three armed men who forced their way into apartment

Bethlehem police are investigating a home invasion robbery that took place just east of the historic downtown late Sunday night.

Three men forced their way into the first-floor rear apartment at 129 E. Broad St. at a little after 10:30 p.m., demanding drugs and money from the victims, according to the police media report. Two of the men were armed with handguns.

The suspects forced the occupants, the man and woman who lived there, and a woman and juvenile male neighbor, to the floor, police said. They told the victims they were looking for β€œJoe” and his girlfriend. After taking $5 from the apartment, they left, police said.

Before leaving, the suspects tried to kick in the door to the first-floor front apartment at the same address.

Arrested for Selling Heroin

A Bethlehem man was arrested on Friday night for allegedly selling heroin to a confidential police informant near the Five-Points intersection in South Bethlehem.

Tyson Keith Howard, 28, of 520 Bradley St. was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin after the alleged sale on the block Howard lives on, at a little after 8:30 p.m., according to an arrest warrant filed at District Justice Patricia Romig-Passaro’s office.

Howard is also accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant in October, according to court papers. He was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
