Giant/KNBT Bank Robber Suspected in 4 More Heists

Bank robber who has hit in West Bethlehem and four other locations dubbed "The Silent Bandit" by the FBI.

The the in the West Bethlehem Giant Food supermarket on April 3 has struck four more banks since, according to an alert issued by the FBI.

His most recent heist happened Wednesday morning at a PNC Bank in Flemington, N.J., NBC 10 reports.

Surveillance photos posted by the law enforcement agency show a similar looking man robbing another PNC Bank in the Shop Rite in Hopewell, N.J., on April 14 and a QNB Bank inside the Giant grocery store in Richland on April 17.

The two new incidents brings the tally to five bank robberies attributed by the FBI to the man dubbed "The Silent Bandit." He also hit the PNC Bank in the Shop Rite in Warminster, Bucks County on April 11 and a PNC Bank at the Shop Rite in Marlton, N.J.

According to the FBI, the robberies occurred at banks located inside grocery stores. The subject is described as an olive-skin male in his late 40s or early- to mid-50s; 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a medium build; and having short black or dark hair and a bushy mustache. He may be driving a silver sedan or coupe.

He has been called the Silent Bandit because he has only uttered one word in all six incidents, the FBI told NBC 10. Before she realized what was happening, a teller offered him some candy, an offer he responded to with a quiet, "no."
