31-year-old Freemansburg man faces 111 criminal counts for years of sexual abuse on girl, according to court records.

A 31-year-old Freemansburg man is accused of sexually assaulting his now-15-year-old stepdaughter on numerous occasions over a six-year period that began in 2007, according to an arrest affidavit filed by borough police.

The accused, whom Patch is not naming to protect the identity of the alleged victim, is facing 111 counts of numerous charges, including rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

The alleged victim’s mother reported the suspected crimes to police on Wednesday after, she said, her 5-year-old son told her he witnessed the girl performing oral sex on his father, the criminal affidavit said.

The mother showed police a video recording of the boy recounting what he saw, the affidavit said.

The alleged victim told police that the assaults began in July 2007, when her stepfather would penetrate her genitals with his fingers, making her cry, according to the affidavit. The accused told the girl that if she didn’t go along with it, it would break up the family.

In December 2010, the stepfather began forcing the girl to perform oral sex on him, again telling her that if she didn’t do it, it would break up the family, police said.

The alleged victim also said that her stepfather raped her three times between January and May 2012.

The accused was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Roy Manwaring and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
