City Man Charged with Assaulting, Robbing Teen

Invited in to smoke pot with teen, 20-year-old man accused of assaulting and robbing victim.

 

A Bethlehem man is charged with a robbery-assault of a 16-year-old boy in the boy’s home on Garrison Street in center city, according to court papers.

The defendant, Bithovens Ravix, 20, of 75 W. Goepp St., knew the boy he is accused of attacking, according to the arrest warrant

The alleged attack took place on March 23. The teen victim saw Ravix walking down the street and invited him into his house to smoke pot, according to the arrest warrant.

Ravix went in and the two smoked marijuana for a while before Ravix told the teen that he was going to take his “stuff.” The teen told Ravix no and at that point, the suspect allegedly grabbed a 40-ounce beer bottle and hit the teen over the head with it, court papers said.

The victim fell, then got up and struggled with Ravix, who allegedly continued to hit him in the head and body, according to the arrest warrant. Ravix then allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and slashed at the victim several times, causing several puncture wounds and a large laceration to his left hand, the warrant says.

According to the affidavit, Ravix then pushed the teen into a closet and told him to stay there or he would kill him. Ravix then allegedly stole two laptop computers – one of them the property of the , a video game system, several video games, a cell phone and a backpack. The items are worth an estimated $2,200.

Ravix was arrested by on Wednesday and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and possessing the instrument of a crime.

He was arraigned in front of District Judge James Narlesky and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
