City Man Accused of Delivering 10 Bags of Pot

George S. Johnson committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

A city man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana after police spotted him allegedly delivering 10 bags of pot in an exchange on the 100 block of Rink Street, Wednesday evening.

George S. Johnson, 30, of 540 Hess St., later admitted, in a written statement, to police that he did deliver the clear plastic bags containing marijuana, according to court papers. The bags were field tested to verify that they contained pot, the warrant said.

Johnson was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail, following his arraignment before District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez.
