Bystander Hit by Gunshot in SouthSide

Multiple shots were fired at Fifth and Hayes streets about about 10 p.m., police say.

An Allentown man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower right leg as he visited with a friend at Fifth and Hayes streets in South Bethlehem Tuesday night, police said.

Lwin Nyo Min, 45, was apparently an innocent bystander when multiple shots were fired at about 10 p.m., Bethlehem police said.

City paramedics took Lin to in Fountain Hill for treatment.

Police said vehicles were heard fleeing from the area. The Morning Call is reporting that police were looking for a white car that drove north on State Street and then east on Fourth Street.
