Bethlehem police are seeking witnesses to a shooting that occurred at the 530 Grille on Pembroke Road in the city early Saturday morning.
The victim, now identified as Dominic Rhone, 23, of 944 Sullivan St., in the city, was shot during a private party at the bar, according to Bethlehem Police Det. Sgt. Jeremy Alleshouse.
Rhone was wounded in the left leg and his injury is not considered to be life threatening.
Police were initially called to the scene at 530 Pembroke Road after 2 a.m. Saturday for a report that shots had been fired there. But when police arrived, they could find no one hurt and the people at the bar refused to talk to police, according to the police media report.
About an hour later, Rhone arrived at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill with the leg wound. It was later determined that Rhone suffered his injury at the 530 Grille, police said.
Police then returned to the scene with a search warrant to collect evidence, Alleshouse said. Police are hoping to obtain a party guest list or that witnesses from that party emerge to say what happened, the detective said.
Anyone with information about the shotting is asked to call Alleshouse at 610-997-7684.
