Bethlehem Police Seek Owners of Two Lost Dogs

In separate incidents Tuesday, a pitbull and a small dog were found, and police are looking to reunite them with their owners.

The City of is attempting to locate the home of a lost dog after receiving a call from a woman on Tuesday morning shortly after midnight who found a "friendly pit bull" but couldn't keep it.

The dog was taken to police headquarters and was fed and walked.  It then escaped while being walked by an officer later on Tuesday morning.

The dog was re-captured in the area of Elizabeth Avenue and North New Street and is now back in a crate.
