Arthur Metcalfe, 75, died in early morning crash north of Quakertown.

Authorities have identified a 75-year-old Bethlehem man as the person killed in a crash this morning with a Trans-Bridge bus on Route 309 north of Quakertown.

Arthur B. Metcalfe was driving a pickup truck that crashed into the back of the bus, which had been stopped for a red light on southbound Route 309 at W. Pumping Station Road in Richland Township, according to The Morning Call.

Metcalfe's pickup hit the back of the bus just as the bus started to go through a traffic light after it turned green, the newspaper reported.

The crash happened around 5 a.m., according to The Express Times.
