Arrests Were Up at Musikfest This Year

81 collars made during this year's 10-day festival, a 5 percent increase from a year ago.

Bethlehem police said they made four more arrests during this year’s Musikfest than they did during the annual 10-day festival a year ago, according to a story in The Morning Call.

There were 81 arrests in all during this year’s festival, a 5 percent jump from a year ago. Bethlehem Police Commissioner Jason Schiffer attributed that not to more criminal activity, but a more proactive approach on the part of his department.

As in past years, the top offenses remain the same: public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and underage drinking.
