Armed Robbers Hit 2 Gas Stations, Police Say

Petro Plus on W. Broad Street targeted Saturday night, while robbery attempt at E. Fourth Street store Sunday night was unsuccessful, police say.

A gas station/convenience store in West Bethlehem was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday night, while an attempted robbery at another gas station failed late Sunday, Bethlehem police said.

The Petro Plus, 824 W. Broad St., was robbed at 7:30 p.m., Saturday by two men who had their faces covered, police said. They fled in a white Honda Civic with steel rims.

The Noor Inc. store at 418 E. Fourth St. was the target of two would-be robbers at about 10:50 p.m. Sunday, police said. It was unclear from the police information release why the robbery did not succeed.

One man was described as a 5-foot-9 white male in his early 20s, wearing a black hoodie and a black mask, police said. He brandished a small black handgun. His accomplice was slightly shorter and also wearing a black hoodie and mask.

Anyone with information about either or both robberies is asked to call the Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7187.
