Cash and cigarettes stolen before dawn on Wednesday

Bethlehem police are seeking a man who robbed the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2930 Linden St. just before daybreak on Wednesday morning.

The suspect came into the store at 6:13 a.m. and brandished a handgun before making off with an unknown amount of cash and some cigarettes, police said. The robber then fled on foot toward a nearby bank.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man, in his 20s, about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, with a medium to husky build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket, a mask covering the lower part of his face and dark-colored pants.

Anyone who was in the area and might have observed the suspect or any type of suspicious activity near the store is asked to call Det. Jason Fulmer at 610-997-7682.
