According to court records, an officer responded to Guanco's address around 1:16 p.m. for a report of a man and woman fighting.

At the house, Guanco's girlfriend said they'd gotten into an argument over bedbugs, which escalated to the point that Guanco had thrown a lamp, smashing it. She locked him out of the house, but he got back in and assaulted her, smashing her head into a wall, grabbing her throat and punching her.
