ALERT: Driver Tried to Lure Child in Bethlehem
About 3 p.m. Thursday, a man in a car that 'looked like a police car' attempted to lure a child in the area of Brodhead Avenue and Morton Street in Bethlehem.
A man driving a white car that "looked like a police car" tried to lure a child near Broughal Middle School and continued to follow the child by the Wendy's and west on Broadway, Bethlehem Police say.
The incident happened about 3 p.m. Thursday around Brodhead Avenue and Morton Street.
The man was described as black, in his 30s or 40s with a grayish goatee and a scar on the left side of his jaw area. He appeared to be tall and thin and was wearing a white tank top shirt.

The car was described as white and "looked like a cop car." It had a beige interior and multi small-spoke wheels. Police said it might be a Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows.
