3 Robberies Reported in Bethlehem

Bethlehem Police say on Friday and Saturday three people reported being robbed by a group of assailants.

Three robberies were reported to Bethlehem Police on Friday and Saturday and in each case the alleged perpetrators were part of a gang of four or five assailants.

The first was reported about 4:19 a.m. Friday in which a man, 25, said he was assaulted in the 600 block of Atlantic Street by five unknown assailants, according to a police report. The victim stated that the incident was gang-related. He was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill but declined medical treatment. 

He also refused to give further details of the incident.

The second robbery was reported 12:47 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Fiot Avenue. A man, 48, reported being robbed and assaulted by five males during an attempted drug transaction.

The third robbery was reported 11:15 a.m. Saturday in which the victim said that he was robbed on the 500 block of Jischke Street by five or six black males wearing dark clothing, police said. Two of the males allegedly asked the victim for a cigarette first and when he declined, he was jumped from behind. The victim told police he thought the assailants live on Jischke Street but wasn't sure where.
