12 Cars Catch Fire at Dealership

Route 412 closed near I-78 while Bethlehem Fire Department cleans up.

A dozen cars caught fire and were destroyed at a Bethlehem Chevrolet dealership, WFMZ-TV, Channel 69 is reporting.

The fire at on Route 412, Hellertown Road, was apparently caused when a power washer on the back of a pickup truck and spread, according to the report.

Though Bethlehem firefighters had the blaze out by about 2 p.m., the TV station is reporting that Route 412 is closed. PennDOT put out a news release saying the closure effects Route 412 between Interstate 78 and Yale Avenue.
