$10,000 in Wedding Rings Stolen

Main Street gift shop victimized by thieves; police say there are no suspects.

The day before the Royal Wedding made big news across the world, someone stole a dozen wedding rings from a specialty and gift shop in Bethlehem's historic downtown, police said.

Bethlehem police said Friday they are investigating the theft of the wedding rings valued at $10,000 taken from at 534 Main St. The brief police media report of the incident said the report was made at a little after 11 a.m. Thursday and that there were no suspects.

Man Arrested After He Allegedly Pulled Trigger on Girlfriend

A Bethlehem man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend and pulled the trigger. Fortunately, the gun did not fire.

Robert Stauffer, 38, was still charged with terroristic threats and simple assault in the incident at his home at 2040 Mary St. at about midnight Friday.
