Kids say the Darndest Things…

And, they do some pretty unbelievable stuff too. In this week’s Moms Talk we want you to share with us your favorite and likely most embarrassing quips, actions and tirades to emanate from your child.

Moms Talk is a weekly feature on all Lehigh Valley Patches in which local parents, caregivers and other members of the community are invited to share opinions and advice on parenting topics. This week’s Moms Talk relates to those priceless gems that come out of the mouths of babes.

“Why is she so fat?”
“What’s that thing on his nose?”
“Well, her belly is so big, I poked it to see if it is real.”

Kids say and do the darndest things.

Whether you believe that misery loves company or that laughter is the best medicine, in this week’s Moms Talk, we’re asking you to share:

What’s the craziest, funniest or most embarrassing thing your child has ever said or done? How’d your react when he or she said or did it?

Our Moms Council members include:

  • Lisa Amey of Upper Milford Township is a stay-at-home mother of two. A past president of the MOMS Club of Emmaus and longtime member of MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers), Lisa is an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International.

Not long after my boys reached the age were they were mobile I actually started to keep a list of things I never thought I hear myself say! My favorite is, "Stop licking your armpit." A close second is, "Stop vacumming your brother's hair." Oh...I could go on!!

Once when my daughter was little we were in a public restroom where the woman in the next stall was having an issue. Each time my daughter heard a noise she would exclaim, "WHAT WAS THAT???!!" I could only hold my laugh in for so long before I had to run out of there! I felt so bad for the woman in the next stall.
