Todd Simmers, 48, Yankees Fan, City Worker

Simmers worked in city's Physical Plant Department, was member of Grover Cleveland Democratic Association.

Todd Simmers, 48, of Bethlehem, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown.

Born August 28, 1965 in Bethlehem he was the son of Nancy (Fistner) Verbonitz and the late Robert Simmers.

Todd worked for the City of Bethlehem in the Physical Plant Department. He was a member of the Grover Cleveland Democratic Association. He was an avid Yankees fan.

Todd had several hobbies such as playing softball, sudoku, crossword puzzles but most of all he loved the time he had playing baseball and bocce ball with his son at the beach in Avalon.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy and her husband Tom Verbonitz, son, Matthew Simmers, brother, Robb Simmers and wife Jennifer, niece, Samantha and an ex-wife and friend, Paula Simmers.
