Hollifield Barnes: Former Steel Worker, Nursing Aide [Obituary]

Hollifield Barnes, 61, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013.

He was born March 7, 1952 in Sandersville, GA; son of the late Hollifield and Susie (Gonder) Barnes.

Hollifield is survived by his wife, Elba (Martinez) Barnes; daughters, Hope Barnes, Suleima and Jenny Rodriguez and sons, Donald Solomon, Anthony Barnes, Eric Washington, William, Jose and Nyjah Rodriguez.

He was a former steel worker and certified nursing aide. Hollifield was a dedicated brother of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed fishing, music, playing softball and basketball and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2718 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
