Gerald Darabaris, 65, Earned 2 Purple Hearts

Gerald served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.

Gerald C. Darabaris Sr., 65, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday at Manor Care Health Services I in Bethlehem.

He was born on August 31, 1948 in Patterson, NJ, son of the late Constantinos and Eloise (Donnelly) Darabaris Kemmerle.

Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during the Vietnam War. He received 2 Purple Hearts.

He is survived by his son, Gerald C. Darabaris Jr. and wife Carolyn of Northampton; daughters, Amanda Darabaris of Walnutport; and Kimberly Mosko and husband Andrew of Slatington; grandchildren, Cassandra, Alexander, Logan, Tessa, Kyleigh, Timothy, Fallon, and Andrew; and sister-in-law, Dorene Darabaris of Forks Township.

He was preceded in death by brother Gregory Darabaris.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Connell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
