My Walk - Day 2

Good evening,

Today is Sunday, July 20, 2014.  Day 2 of My Walk.  I am sorry that I am writing this post so late.  I hope I am posting this information on the right place.  I am new at this and have no idea what I am doing, but it is all good.

I am excited on my second day of trying to lose some weight.   I didn't have my walk in the morning, I had it in the evening and that is why I am a bit late writing about it. I asked my husband to go with me and help me in my struggle or "My Walk" and he did.  It was amazing that after 29 years of marriage, he said yes to something that really means so much to me.

It was a simple walk through our neighborhood, but it was really beautiful and in a way a bit romantic.  We started walking and feeling the smooth breeze on our faces.  We actually talked.  I know that my husband loves me, but for many years our conversations were kept to a minimum.  Perhaps we can attribute this situation to our work schedules and being always tired, or simply because it was a convenient routine.  We even got to talk without fighting about bills that have not been paid or what the kids did or didn't do.  It was like a date (well, lets not go overboard).  It was something different and we walk for an hour.  I think that today, I accomplished something that was not on my list and that is to make my husband part of the things that are important to me.  It was a lovely walk.   Well, I am tired and I have to go to work tomorrow.  I will let you know how my third day goes.

I forgot to give you a few details.  When I got married, my weight was 100 pounds, and I have always been a petite woman up until four years ago that I started gaining weight.  My actual weight is embarrassing, I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and I weight 190 pounds.  My goal is to be able to get to at least 150 pounds.  At the end of two weeks, I will know how much I weight and if this crazy idea is working or not.  Today, even if I don't even lose one pound, by doing this, I was able to reconnect with my husband, and that is a "weight" off my shoulders.  See you tomorrow.
