The search is part of the Butterball Man the Turkey Talk-Line Search, which Butterball officials say comes with the change over the years of more men being involved in preparing the Thanksgiving turkey.

Are guys out there interested in talking turkey? You have just a few days left to apply through an online application process which closes Oct. 20.

The Talk-Line began back in 1982 when it had six people working the phones that holiday season answering 11,000 questions about cooking a turkey. Since then the line has grown in both the number of calls and the number of experts on hand to help. And over the years has diversified its operators. From phone calls, to social media, nearly a million people each year utilize the Talk-Line’s guidance.

The Turkey Talk-Line is open from early November through December.
