The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts with its annual Take The Lead event in which scouts honor some of the area’s most distinguished women, whose leadership and achievements have made the world a better place. GSEP allows its Scouts the opportunity to run the annual Take The Lead program from start to finish, serving as masters of ceremonies, hosts and award presenters showcasing the poise and maturity of its emerging leaders.
This year's honorees are:
- Carmen Twillie Ambar, President, Cedar Crest College
- Shelley Brown, Executive Director, State Theatre
- Susan Kubik, Executive Director, NCC Foundation
- Dr. Donna Miller, Private Practice
- Centennial Award: Frances Hesselbein, CEO, Leader to Leader Institute
