A Tribute to Walp’s Restaurant
Mix and mingle with former owners Frank and Judy Nikischer, and Wendy Nikischer Knowles, along with 97-year-old Donald Walp, the last immediate family member of the original Walp family. Enjoy their displays of Walp’s memorabilia and be sure to get a signed copy of the Walp’s Restaurant Cookbook.

Alice Reinert, “the Queen of the Funnel Cakes” will visit, along with family members who are taking up the tradition, to sign her book, From Pennsylvania Dutch Farm to Queen of the Funnel Cakes. If it gets you in the mood for these tasty pastries, you’re in luck! We’ll be having fun with various funnel cake recipes during an outdoor cooking demonstration.
