Runner’s World will hold its second annual Half Marathon and Running Festival, Oct. 18-20, 2013 in Bethlehem, PA. Race registration opens January 7 for the Half Marathon (Oct. 20, 8 am), 5-K (Oct. 19, 8 am), 10-K (Oct. 19, 9:30 am) and the Hat Trick (all three races, special hat awarded) and can be found at http://www.RWHalf.com.
Those who register now will be able to take advantage of early-bird pricing for the 5-K ($25), 10-K ($30), Half Marathon ($70) and Hat Trick ($115) until March 11. Prices will rise incrementally throughout the year. The kids’ races, a series of fun runs and races for children ages 2-16, will take place on Friday Oct. 18, starting at 5 pm. Those races are free with a suggested donation of $5 per child which will go to the NYRR Mighty Milers program, which works with kids on health and fitness, teamwork and goal setting. In 2012, money donated through the RW Half helped activate the Mighty Milers program at two Lehigh Valley area schools.
