Celebration of National Clown Week


The Disciples of Joy are a local clown alley from Bethlehem.

They recently received a Senate Citation from Senator Boscola in honor of

upcoming National Clown Week due to their outstanding volunteer work in the

community.

 

The Disciples of Joy serve. They visit the sick. They help

many organizations by participating in fundraisers for research and cures for

many diseases. They have participated in Relay for Life,Alex's Lemonade Stand,

Cops N' Kids Reading Program, Light the Night, Every Breath,Multiple Sclerosis,

Kidney Foundation and Heart Walk,etc

They visit nursing homes to cheer the elderly.

Some of the Disciples of Joy are also Bumper T Caring Clowns

and volunteer at St Luke's University Hospital.

 

The Disciples of Joy will be celebrating National Clown

Week August 2 2014 from 10 am til 2pm at Payrow Plaza.(outside the Bethlehem

Public Library and City Hall)

The Disciples of Joy will have 

Whistles,Stitches,Bandaids,Flossie,Patticakes,Tillie and Dazzleberry on hand to

face paint, twist balloons and entertain the folks and children that happen to

come by.

 

Hundreds of clowns will be clowning around in all parts of the

USA as part of National Clown Week Aug 2nd to the 9th . Each clown will be

donating their time for a good cause in their community.
